MEXICO
Eliot Aguilar leads Guardians of Human Rights’ work in Mexico, with a particular focus on advancing human rights initiatives in collaboration with indigenous communities. His role centers on strengthening community-based programs that respect cultural identity, promote inclusion, and expand access to education, rights awareness, and leadership opportunities.
He works closely with local leaders and community organizations to identify structural challenges affecting indigenous populations, supporting initiatives that address social exclusion, inequality, and barriers to opportunity. Through a rights-based and culturally grounded approach, Eliot helps ensure that GOHR’s programs are adapted to local realities and implemented in a way that is respectful, sustainable, and community-driven.
By connecting grassroots needs with the organization’s broader regional and international frameworks, he contributes to long-term empowerment and the protection of human rights within indigenous and underserved communities across Mexico.
